Happy Signing Day! Will Brandon Nimmo be a Met or Razorback come midnight? Right now, the Mets have signed 32 of their 51 picks. Let’s hope Sandy Claus has a few more surprises under the tree.
Durham @ Buffalo – PPD (Rain)
Binghamton 7, Richmond 3
Juan Ligares went 3 for 4 with a three run homer to pace the B-Mets over the Flying Squirrels. Reese Havens went hitless but did walk and score.
St. Lucie 4, Charlotte 0
The Stone Crabs must really be happy to see the Lucies leave town. For the second straight day, the PSL Mets got a stellar pitching performance. This time Armando Rodriguez and Josh Edgin combined on the three hitter. Armando went a brilliant seven innings giving up just the three hits while walking none and striking out seven. Wilmer Flores was 1 for 4 with an RBI.
Asheville 5, Savannah 4
Ryan Fraser got roughed up for four runs (three earned) in 3.1 innings and the Sand Gnats never recovered. Darrell Cecilianni went 1 for 4 with a run scored.
Brooklyn @ Mahoning Valley – PPD (Rain)
Kingsport 7, Princeton 2
Rafael Montero went a strong six innings, giving up two runs on three hits while walking none and striking out two. The bats gave him plenty of support as Dustin Lawley went 4 for 4 with a double and four runs scored, and Greg Pron went 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Luke Stewart also chipped in a two run homer of his own for good measure.

I really hope they get this Nimmo signing done. Haven’t been looking forward to a drift pick signing as I am this one in a long time.

16th rounder Brad Marquez has signed, you can see him on the football field at Texas Tech this fall. Still waiting on Nimmo, Verrett, Christian Montgomery, and Phillip Evans. Everyone else drafted is unlikely to sign at this point.

Considering position players only, Evans probably has best upside behind Nimmo, and he has officially signed!
