I’m thinking there is no way the Mets play on Sunday and possibly don’t get the game in on Sat either, since it starts at 4:10pm on FOX.
I see some teams have scheduled double headers yesterday/today to compensate for games over the weekend. No surprise the Mets did not. They didn’t have enough pitchers for the beginning of next week, let alone a dh today.
12:10 now?
Any earlier, it’ll be breakfast with the Mets on Saturday.

The responsible thing would be to just cancel it. I know the storm wont be until much later but they shouldn’t give fans excuses to be outside especially when the storm is in Citi Fields cross hairs.
Well hopefully you are far back enough to not get bit by the storm surge. Growing up in Fairfield CT we had Gloria and one smaller one in the 90′s. Both times and the coastal areas were wrecked.
Gloria was cat 3 before hitting LI and went down to cat 1 once it hit CT. We had no power for a week and school was closed for about 2 weeks.
I lived a 1/2 mile from the ocean during Gloria, down on the Jersey shore. Also identified as a flood plain area. We got very little during that storm. I think L.I. was hit much harder.
I live about 15 miles inland now. It’s the 80 foot 100 year old trees I’m more worried about, along with loss of power with how knows how long.
I can’t imagine anyone is planning on attending a Met game on Sat., let alone on Sunday. Especially with all mass transit beginning to shut down at noon tomorow.

Yeah, stay safe everyone.
I have no plans to evacuate here on the Jersey shore. Here’s hoping I don’t regret this decision…..

Did I just hear Bloomberg say they talked to the Wilpons and asked them to cancel both Sat and Sun games due to the shut down of Mass Transit?
With mandatory evacuations now of all low lying areas across the 5 boroughs, I can’t imagine they’re being any fans at Sat. game.

Yup. Mass Transit starting to shut down at noon tomorrow.
Just cancel both games.
