Ouch – that hurt. The good news is that Johan Santana will get a start in this series. Let’s take a look
Greensboro5, Savannah 4 (Greensboro leads series -0)
This game was a back and forth affair – Greensboro jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Savannah chipped away until they tied it, The Sand Gnats went up, the Grasshopper came back. In the eighth, Blake Forsythe, who third inning homer ties the game at two, clubbed another solo shot to put Savannah up late. Ten the fun started. With two out and one on in the ninth, Hamilton Bennett gave up the game winning home run to Marcel Ozuna. However, the umpire called the ball foul (though it was clearly fair). The Grasshopper had to return to the dugout and the manger got tossed. However, Ozuna walked, Bennett balked, and Ronny Morla had to come on in relief after the bases were walked loaded. Mark Cahna then singled two runs in to give Greensboro the opening salvo in this one. Tantalizingly close….

Kudos to Bryan and Peter and any other for the minor league coverage this season. Such a great job all year. It’s awesome that I don’t have to dig around (which I really don’t have the time to) to get this. I really don’t know any other site that has this level of detail and if there is one I’m sure they suck anyway
