I’ve been watching a lot of good baseball lately.
This Fall Classic has been filled with some heroics and managed like a chess game. To me, this has been Happy Baseball for there are no blue or red pinstripes to be seen. Could it get any better? Well, maybe it can with the Metropolitans, but beggars can’t be choosers. I’ll take the Rangers and the Cards any day.
But there is one thing I’m hoping for, one thing I’m really counting on…..I hope that Albert Pujols is for real. I hope that it doesn’t come out that he was on the juice or hitting the HGH all this time. The other night, when he launched those three bombs, all I kept thinking was, here’s a guy that’s for real. Totally 100%. He might be the last legit slugger we ever see that actually looks like a slugger.
I tip my hat and pen to him, he is frightening at the plate in every sense of the word.

I’ve been hearing where this WS has some of the lowest ratings since WS has been televised. Don’t understand that because as someone who always watches all WS play, I think so far this is one of the best series I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s had drama, comedy, classic baseball and ‘October is for legends’ type play. Sure, Pujols has had a hell of a series so far, but some unlikely heroes stepping up as well, including that gem pitched by Holland the other night.
What’s not to like?

I’ve really enjoyed this World Series. It’s been well played, and as MF4D pointed out, it’s had plenty of drama and comedy. This has been a WS for true baseball fans.

Your choice of EYE-gor as a picture rivals this WS for excellence and entertainment value.

It would be sad if we learned at some point that Albert Pujols’ extreme power was artificially enhanced via drugs.
BTW I saw Mantle hit one over the 467 foot sign in left center in the old Yankees Stadium. He also hit the façade in the old Yankees Stadium where the ball was still ascending when it hit the façade. He came the closest to hitting one fair out of that ballpark and he did hit the one in the old Washington ballpark that was measured as 560ft.
