Howie Rose Interview

On Wednesday I had the opportunity along with a few other Mets bloggers to interview the voice of the Mets radio booth, Howie Rose. He answered our questions about the uniforms, favorite players and the new dimensions at Citi Field.

ENJOY!

Love Howie.  The few and far between times I’m listening to a game on WFAN, instead of watch SNY, always nice to hear him calling the games.

I read somewhere that Hagen’s contract is up for renewal – and he might not be back.  If not, wonder who they pair Howie up with next?

Yea Howie is a good one. The Mets have had a great history of announcers for both radio and tv. I even liked McCarver back in the WWOR days before he turned into a Yankee loving ass.

Nice video interview Rusty. How cool it must of been to be able to have Howie Rose take some time to answer the questions he did and talk Mets.

    A message for Howie:

This is to help you, not criticize you. There is a word you use frequently(this Sunday, for example) that you always mispronounce: The word is “primer.”

When it is introductory text or lesson, it rhymnes with simmer, not with timer. When it is the stuff under paint, it rhymes with timer.

    Trust me on this.
