hahaha – Outside of Reyes, which I think is going to take awhile, I’m not seeing that we really ‘missed out’ on any player who has signed with someone else.
The Mets aren’t the only team who hasn’t done much yet. Don’t see the NYY on this list…..
One doesn’t make a move because they don’t have to and the other because they can’t afford to and it doesn’t make sense for the Mets to acquire anyone of substance at this point in time. Whatever resources are available should continue to be applied to building from the bottom up.
I’m sure before the winter is over the Yankees will acquire someone without regard to their compensation, so don’t fret.

Well when the sky is falling the safest place to be is in the basement and that’s where the Mets have an excellent chance to be in 2012.
