When Curt Schilling who is famous for his Game 6 performance in the 2004 ALCS vs the Yankees where he pitched 7 great innings which ended with his sock bloodied from a previous injury to his ankle and helping the Red Sox come back from 3 games to 0 down to tie the series and eventually go on to win the World Series. No one envisioned his future would be in the Gaming world.
2 years later he founded a company called 38 Studios, an entertainment and IP creation company in development on a broad range of products, including online and console video games, toys, novels, comics, film, TV, and other forms of digital media.
His 1st original RPG “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning” looks like it could be a sleeper hit. Yet when you consider the people Schilling brought in to work on this game it’s hard to call it a sleeper. People like Todd McFarlane probably best known for his creation of Spawn and R. A. Salvatore a best-selling fantasy author and Ken Rolston who was the lead designer in the widely popular “Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion“. Here is an interview Schilling did earlier this year describing his past in gaming and how he came to work on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
If your a gamer that loves RPG’s you might want to give this game a try. The bad part is having to wait cause it won’t be out this holiday season. It comes out February 2012.

EA thanks you for the free advertising
Currently playing Skyrim on XBOX and will get the new Star Wars MMO in a couple days. That’s MMO: Massive Multiplayer Online roleplaying game, not that insane asylum down the road.
