This is great. Thanks for posting it.
I love the MLB station. I’ve seen many of these series. Love the clips. They bring back so many memories. Damn, I love baseball. Can’t wait for the season to start – heck ST to start.

And the number one moment is…..you guessed it. That entire season was so much fun.

Ugh, Gibson and that gimpy HR. So pissed when he did that after the way our post season ended.
    Bah….screw you Hershiser.
Nola Ryan and his 5th no hitter. I hated that trade almost as much as the Seaver one. Thought they were giving up too early on him. I know it’s no guarantee but if he had stayed chances are we’re not still waiting for the first franchise no-no.

Also wanted to mention that I’ve seen that 20s greatest games Mookie/Buckner game airing several times now. Bill Buckner is a classy guy. Too bad his career is so often defined by that one play. That night though, that was the last thought on my mind.

Remember too watching that earthquake WS game in 1989. Didn’t have a home computer at that time and I remember switching from cable new station to station trying the find out what was going on.

Speaking of MLB….turn it on to find Beltran giving a mini clinic on all things from how to slide properly to how to effectively get to a ball quickly in CF and come up throwing with a minimal of movements. Dang we miss you out inCF, Carlos.

      MF4D agreed on everything!

Do you watch Curb Your Enthusiasm?

Great episode with Buckner and Mookie as special guests…if you have not seen it, try to!

Yes, I did see that episode. That was great, wasn’t it?

Carlos Beltran, my second favorite during my 21 years of fandom (behind Piazza). Woefully under-appreciated by so called Mets “fans”. Classy guy, always played great when he was healthy, total gamer. Unfortunately, just as Buckner is, Beltran will continue to be defined by one post-season play by the more ignorant and obnoxious of the fans.
