I hope I can make it up for a couple of games this year. Think I got only 1 in each of the last 2 years.

NJstuckinTx’s Sunday Question:
Will Tejada end up being the long (3-5 year) solution at SS?

an interesting question that I have been wondering myself. I think there is a chance, but far from a lock. Just not sure he is going to hit enough.
So, I think he stays until one of the other prospects (evans?) works his way up to challenge for the job. So, unless he flat out blows, he will be around for a while.
so I will put it at 50/50 for your time frame. But, maybe we get lucky, and he just blossoms as a hitter and turns into a real legit starting SS.
man, that would be a huge bonus for the team, especially when Havens settles in as the regular AS 2B for the next decade!

to give my 2 cents, since i posed the question, yes, i do think he’ll be the 3-5 year plan. this is based on ability, cost and other alternatives (aka, there aren’t really any). he’ll be serviceable for sure. Nothing amazing. Certainly not Ordonez bad at the plate, but not Reyes good either.

Kong,
Any comments on Issaquah or Snoqualmie? Seems the push for Seattle or back to NJ is rearing it’s head…
