Wilpons not selling: they’re still holding on but that ‘not selling’ proclamation this year is sure different then it was last year. They’re only holding in if they get those investors, IMO.
Perez read to go: LOL….ready to go and leave the Mets, that is.
Same with Castillo
KRod is gone
Only the Wilpons and Murph are still hanging on.
What a difference a year makes, huh?

If past ST actions taken by losing franchises is prolog then this year we should expect to see reports placing emphasis on potential young talent in the organization and a commitment to winning ST games to spur early season ticket sales. No doubt this will result in comments by optimists that all the pundits projections were just Mets bashing and the Mets will win between 85 to 90 games this year.

I can see 85 if they don’t get hammered injury wise again. Hey, one of these years they have to stay healthy, right? Right?

Looks like I may be the most pessimistic on this blog again this season when it comes to record. I guessed 73 last year, and thankfully I was wrong and it was great to watch them want to win. Unfortunately I feel there are more If’s this season than last. I’m leaning towards 69 but haven’t made up my mind yet. Want to see what comes out of spring training. Also feel Nats won’t be too much better this season and next will be their breakout. Also the phish only won 70 last year and I don’t think they improved all that much. If Johnson is unhealthy, they are toast.

Between a strong division, a mediocre bullpen, and a garbage rotation, they’re not winning 80. Though, I think they’ll creep above 69 wins. I’ll say 72-76 wins.

The Mets will win between 63-68 games — and that’s if they are healthy.

Wow, well I will take the over… not by much but when you set the bar that low it’s an easy call.

Right.
And 52 weeks ago you predicted a WS win.

I don’t predict.

So I see we’re doing predictions already?
I can see a case for either the low end and the higher end in the comments above – as things stand right now.
I’m the type that can’t get into predictions at least until Opening Day. I especially have to see what the SP looks like to start the year.
Usually, I can’t make any serious predictions until about 6 weeks in though.
