SNY Mets broadcasters Gary, Keith, and Ron are selling a limited edition T-shirt sharing GKR’s personal tribute to a one-of-a-kind player, man, and friend. The proceeds will go to a hospice that provides care to the terminally ill.
Gary Cohen shared this other personal memory on SNY: “When I arrived to the Mets in 1989, and Gary was a Hall of Fame player at that point and had accomplished everything that he needed to in the game, and I was an absolute nobody coming from nowhere, and Gary was the kind of person – he knew my name before we had even been introduced, and there was no reason for him to. But that’s just the way he was.”
