Johan Santana today had his Lucy Ricardo moment when posing for picture day. Now Lucy in the episode “Men are Messy” gets mad at how sloppy Ricky is and decides to teach him a lesson and be messy especially when she thinks a man from a music magazine is coming to do a story on Ricky only to discover after making a fool of herself that the man is not from a music magazine but from Look magazine and she winds up on the cover.
Santana’s version was that he decided to have some fun and placed a garbage can on his head. The NY Post (who else) took the picture and had fun with it by placing him on the frontpage of today’s paper with the title “Mets already in the trash.”

Also, tried Maui IPA in the can. Was good, but Dale’s kicks it in the hops sack.

I haven’t had a chance to try the Maui IPA, but I’m a big fan of Dale’s. And I don’t know if you get Troegs down there, but Nugget Nectar is out now, and is amazing as always. Great beer for a hophead.

We distribute to most of the country. I think we’re in TX, but I’m not 100% sure.

Yeah, this is kinda scary for him, though it sounds like he hasn’t really had any of the nasty symptoms.

I was just about speechless when I saw this. Freakin’ unreal. I never heard of such a thing and I used to spend a lot of time in AZ since I had relatives there. Never heard boo about valley fever and I lived there for a year. On the plus side it sounds like if you catch it early there’s a better chance of controlling it and getting it in check. On the downside if there is something wrong with his bloodwork maybe at least it’s this instead of say the big C or some other far worse disease. Trying hard to find the glass half full here given over the past 24 hours:
Harvey cut finger from gripping his pitches
Hairston Oblique injury again
Wright held back with stifness in his side
And now Ike
I get a couple of working out the kinks bumps and bruises but really now Valley Fever? oy.
