No big surprises, nice to see Torres and Fransisco on the roster and not injured. Interesting Baxter caught on at the end however.

yeah, what you would expect. I would have been good with Edgin too, but no obvious person to cut. And with FF potentially short term (to the DL!) he could be back soon enough.
And Kirk will arrive at some point, but again unless someone hits the DL, it won’t be until Bay goes away.
I know I am an optimist here, but with Johan (if he can actually beat the odds and do OK out the gate), it is not that bad of a team.

I’m an optimist right there with you and it would have been nice to see Edgin too but I think he’ll be up with Kirk at some point.

And Pedro Beato was born on the same day as Niese.

Young whippersnapper. Every Manager is younger than I am.

well everyone younger than me is a whippersnapper, but everyone older is an old fart.

Only 2 for me
I noticed this a few weeks back. Everyone talking about the veteran Johan being shot and his career over. Then I looked and he was 3 years younger than me. LOL.

he would also be I think the 2nd youngest SP on the Phils.
Life as it relates to baseball is not fair.
