doesn’t look too bad. SP has not been putting too much of a burden on, even though Terry has had a bit of a quick hook at times (slavish devotion to the 100 PC rule?)

But, still the first couple of times through the rotation, so could still be getting them ramped up. Will be nice to see consistent 7 IP outings (at least), especially if it means never seeing Batitsta again!

I thought yesterday would have been a good opportunity to see if Pelfrey could get into and through the 7th. Especially now knowing Terry was going to give the main BP guys the day off.

Agree. I would have brought him back out for the 7th inning. He certainly couldn’t have done any worse than our BP who gave up the lead. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20 though.

Not sure if that’s because of depth issues or that’s just how he is, but Terry is a very conservative manager.

Not too bad for SP considering Johan’s 2 starts and knowing he was probably on a strict pitch count.

Yeah Johan with two five inning starts doesn’t help this. Once the season gets rollin, they’ll rise in the starter rankings.

Not too bad? the only teams with a better rate through 9 games are the Giants and the Phillies! If Gee can go 7 that’d put them 5th overall.

that’s flat out amazing considering Johan and the conservative approach.
