The Mets Have Faced Some Some Good Starting Pitching So Far In 2012

The Mets wake up this morning with an 8-6 record. They have done this mostly vs what many feel is the toughest division in the N.L. It has come while facing some pretty good starting pitching as well.

Of the 12 different starters the Mets have faced only 2 have ERA’s higher than 3.38 and 6 of them have ERA’s under 3.00. The 12 starters the Mets have faced have a combined ERA of 2.87 over 222.2/IP so far in 2012.

Below is a more detailed breakdown of how those starters have done so far.

    Good stuff.
So far, we’ve proven we can more than hang with what are describe as the big boys. Maybe the predictions of our SP not nearly good enough to compete in the NL East was not quite accurate.
Long season though – it should be fun. If the middle of this order ever gets going, should be more than fun.

Not that I wish an injury on anyone but since it happened, I just have one comment for the Philly fans:

Geez Mr N, I really had not realized this.

Excellent work, and reason for optimism.
