If I’m not mistaken, all 9 are homegrown talent.

Have to give Omar some credit here.

yup. Though I guess any team can do that if they have to keep calling up enough guys!

Now it would be a real accomplishment if the group can lead them to the playoffs, and start 9 originals in the WS!

hope the LF experiement works out. At least spin has the speed to overcome mistakes!

I don’t really like the top though. I would rather keep Wright 3 and duda 4. Tejada can hit 7th to break up the string of lefties. Just don’t think he should be getting ABs instead of Wright or Duda.

I like moving Wright down a little and lengthening the lineup.

what’s the point of lengthening it if you are just making the top worse? If you are pushing the better hitters down, is it worth it?

Wright has also been fine in the 3 hole, and I still worry about him changing his approach to fit a perceived role (such as clean up hitter).

that, and I think Duda should be put in the 4 hole and just left there.

I didn’t realize Valdespin was playing LF. Has he ever played LF? Oh, boy…..
Three rookies in the OF. I didn’t even want 2 to start the season. This ought to be fun.

not that I know of, but if he was OK CF it will be fine. Trust me.

at least he is fast. That can cover a multitude of sins.

would you rather they gave him CF and put Kirk in left?

also, a nit (I keep seeing it). Duda is no longer a rookie. He passed that milestone last year. But I know what you mean.

No. Leave Kirk in CF and go with Valdespin in LF.
Both have speed so there is that. Here’s hoping no one crashes into each other.

Yeah, I realize Duda is no longer a prototypical rookie but IMO, he’s still learning how to play RF out there. That’s really what I was referring to.
