Playing for Peanuts: New Footage

OK, Let’s make this very clear. These videos are NSFW (Not Safe for Work) due to language.

Playing for Peanuts is a documentary style television series about minor league baseball. The ten episode series followed the South Georgia Peanuts of the independent South Coast League during their 2007 season and centers around former Mets player and current AAA Buffalo Bison’s coach Wally Backman. The Peanuts won their league that year with a 59-28 record.

One of the most talked about moments of the series revolved around outfielder Doc Brooks being ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the umpire. Wally was very perturbed with the ejection and decided to let the umpire know that he was very disappointed with the call.

Well it looks like the documentary now has an “Uncensored” version that was released on 04/01 and they just released a new clip of Wally and company to wet our appetites for the ever elusive F-Bomb. According to “Deadspin.com” the F-Bomb makes an appearance over 35 times in under 2 minutes.

And just in case you were curious on what Buddy wanted to say afterwards, you can find it here:

If you wish to pick up a copy, you can purchase it on Amazon.com below. It’s that perfect gift for that special someone, new girlfriend, or stocking stuffer for the kids.

    LOL….I’m sure they’d appreciate this.

    Well that was entertaining.
It’s what I imagine boot camp is like.
I thought Wally was mad. He’s got nothing on Buddy in these clips.

Have not watched the new part yet, but as this was being marketed and sold, I think the chance that it was staged and/or partly exaggerated for effect probably needs to be considered here.

Please watch your language TRS, I’m going to have to ban you from the comment section. You’ve been watching too many Backman clips.

What do you think of the Nets logos? I’m down with the black and white scheme but felt the images needed a little more oomph if they are going into that direction. Or just a real sharp “B” image.

I have to agree. They are somewhat sleek and cool, but definitely not very exciting or memorable.

Are you able to watch or read anything without trying to figure out ones motive for the piece. I get that he may be hamming it up a little, but it was funny.
