The Herd gets washed away, and the Sand Gnats put in tfor overtime.  Let’s take a look.

Rochester @ Buffalo (Rained Out)

Akron 3, Binghamton 2

Darrin Gorski kept the B-Mets in the game, giving up a run on six hits and three walks while striking out three.  However, Edgar Ramirez gave up tewo riuns (onwe earned) oitbne bottom of the eight and the Binghamton comebnack nt eh top of the ninth fell short.  Reese Havens went 0 for 2 with two walks as he finally pushes away from the proverbial dock on to the seas of the 2012 season. Any taker son his next injury?  We’ll also accept illnesses.  I’ve got twenty bucks on “the vapors”.

St.Lucie 2, Fort Myers 1

DJ Carrasco continues his road back to the big leagues by tossing one scoreless innings to kikckoff the game.  Chase Huchingson struggled through the next five and a thrid, but got out of trrouble with only a run allowed. Ryan fraser adn Adam Kolarek went the rest of the way without giving up anything.  Cesar Puello went 1 for 3 with a run scored and Blake Forsythe had the big hit, a solo homer in the seventh that poroved to be the difference.

 Savannah 10, Lexington 9 (11 innings)

Travis Taijeron scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the top of the twelfth to giv ethe Sand Gnats the victory after a long backand forth game.  Savannah jumped out to a 7-1 lead, but Rafael Montero gave up six runs in five innings, and Jared West allowed the Legends to come allthe way back.  Camden Maron, TJ Rivera and Brian Harrison all hit solo homers, butTaijeron was the real star of the day, going 3 for 5 with two home runs, five RBI and three runs scored.

Liking this Gorski kid more and more.

I’m assuming we’ll be seeing DJ sooner rather than later up here.

LOL Reese Havens….any takers on his next injury.
I’m really warming up to the idea of him finally putting it together and making a push for our 2nd baseman of the future. If yes, we can trade Murphy as they’re really be no spot for him.
