that sucks. tearing a fingernail off hurts. And must make it hard to pitch! Good thing they have that 7 day DL. Majors could use that.
speaking of pitching, maybe the Mets can trade Frank F. to the Yankees? Appears they may need a new closer finally.
Hey, Ceetar will finally get to know how overrated Mo was to that team. But if nothing else, it will be nice to see them sweat out 9th innings, like fans of other teams have to do.

I don’t think it will hurt them much in the regular season but postseason time… oh boy.
I don’t see them trading for anyone either. That’s what they paid Soriano the big bucks for.

Well dang.
I didn’t realize there was a 7 day DL down there. Like stick said, wish they HD this at the ML level.
Just saw the injury on Mariano. Aw…too bad. Now they’ll see what life is like w/o ML just a little bit sooner.

Speaking of injuries…..
I just watched the clip of Mariano going down during batting practice.
As much as I hate the Yankess, Mo was one of the only Yankees I admired. He was at the top of the class for relievers almost like non other and he was class both on the field and off.
You hate to see someone like him go down like this in what was going to be his last year. Hope the Yankees realize what they lost because I doubt you’ll ever see another closer like him – someone who was that good for that long.

Are you saying Frank Francisco isn’t at that level?
