kind of lost in the shuffle is that, after a hot week or so when he returned, and that 1 HR, Torres has been pretty well useless too. Just can’t hid that many ice cold players in the lineup at 1 time.
and just send Ike down and get it over with. WHen you are getting platooned (and pinch hit for) by Justin Turner and Vinny Rottino, you know there is a problem!

Torres has 2 hits over last 9 games and Nickeas 0 hits over last 7 games I believe.

Which tells you they have been very lucky to have the record they do have or they should have a much better record than they do have if they got an ounce of average production from those positions. Problem with the 2nd option is you aren’t getting “average” production from the Nickeas/Cedeno/Rottino/Turner’s of the world.
