Yuck.
Bay in the 2 hole makes me want to poke my eyes out.
So, how many games of looking like the same old, tired, slow batted stiff does Bay get before they make a move on him? I still say that they should have already dropped him into a platoon, and if he doesn’t look any better vs. LHP just drop him all together, and move on.
oh, and SEND IKE DOWN

Is it possible the Wilpons have prohibited releasing Bay?

probably not. But, as with any FO, they make that the last resort, and that includes trying to do anything possible to trade the guy.
being out for so long hurt just lengthened the process unfortunately.
But, at some point, when it becomes 100% clear he has no market value, it will happen. just would not surprise me to see it be in the off season.

Well, we’ll see if this works for Bay or not. I think it’s just running the last possibilities for Bay providing anything to this team other than DFA glory.

if nothing else, Torres and Bay should never face a RHP.
this is one thing that bugs me about Bay back. They already had Hairston who was crushing LHP, so bay takes one of the only good bats vs. lefties out of the lineup.
