They need this win bad IMO. Really don’t want to take a chance on giving the Phils any momentum, and if they take game 1, with Lee/Hamels vs. Terry’s infamous RH lineup (and defense!) a sweep would be very possible.
and that would be a very, very, very bad thing!
a sweep by the Mets, and Amaro will be burning up the lines trying to sell, Mortimer, sell.
If Phils sweep, they will have life and will be smelling blood.

as long as Mets take at least 2 of the 3, life will be good. Then sweep the freaking CUbs to head into the break on a high note.

Agreed. Can’t sleep on the Phillies yet. With Utley back, the top half of that lineup looks a lot scarier than last time the Mets faced them. Still, they can’t seem to buy a win these days…

This is the lineup I want to see out there. Thole said 5-1 is the goal, hopefully the rest of the team is on the same page.
