Matz had a great outing last night. Hope he keeps it up and most importantly, stays healthy.

Just stumbled upon Gavin Cecchini’s twitter account. His woman is a hot little number and probably puts the “Miss RDM ladies” to shame. No wonder his twitter motto says “I do everything for and through the lord”.

If Matz reestablishes himself as a serious prospect, it would be huge. Like found money (a free top round pick) this year.
and I actually looked at Gavins twitter. Certainly points out something we tend to forget, and that is these are real young dudes right out of HS, that still haven’t realized what it means to be a public figure. Some of those tweets just scream 15 YO!

Matz is a Long Island product that during his high school days was always being compared against recent Toronto draft pick Marcus Stroman. Stro was alway’s given a slight edge as far as ability in the HS reports in the local papers at the time. 2 pretty fair prospects out of LI. Anyway, hopefully Matz is back on track. The way I look at it is the equivalent of being the same draft class as Stroman again with him going in the recent draft.
Matz has a long way to go but he’s got a live arm if he’s able to stay healthy. For kicks here was the writeup from 2009 when Matz and Stro went head to head in a championship game:
