Wasn’t a doubt in my mind after last night…
Can we blame this on Turner? It was his bad throw that had Johan juggling for the ball running to first and not quite paying attention to the bag, rolling over his ankle.

Exactly, which was my point for weeks when everyone wanted to send Ike down. The drop off in d at 1B is huge after Ike. Even if / when he was sucking he had to be in there just for d whether for stuff like crappy lead throws to first, digging balls out of the dirt, etc.

well, this sounds like a convenient excuse to get him a little vacation. In any case, probably for the best if it helps him get back on track, and make it through the year in one piece.
Wondering now if it will be hefner, or could it be Harvey after all? there is going to be a 1 day mismatch (with Harvey pitching today) but you could always throw batista on 1 less day rest (not like he is going deep today, right?) Or hefner replaces him. Or, by then, they bring in another SP from outside?

Let’s try Batista & Harvey for next 2 weeks followed by Santana returning and replacing one of those two.

It’s gotta be Harvey and Hefner, IMO.
Hefner is only marginally better than Batista in that he doesn’t seem to walk as many.
Plus, if I have to watch Batista pitch every 5th day for the next several weeks, I’ll have to pack an overnight bag. He makes Traschel look like a speedster out on that mound.
