This Week in Fantasy

This Week in Fantasy brought to you by the dually crowned “Miss Real Dirty Mets”.

5 scoring weeks left to the season. “Niese’s Nose” and “Mike Pelfail” cannot afford to lose a game and are close to being mathematically eliminated. Every other team is still in the hunt.

The trade deadline is Friday. So all trades need to be proposed and accepted by 12pm on August 3rd.

Also for the teams falling out of contention, this is a keeper league and if you decide to play next year, you are allowed to keep 3 players on your current roster. So, keep that in mind with trades or picking up a rookie on the waiver wire.

Standings:

Trades:

A couple of trades have occurred while I’ve been away on business trips the last couple weeks. So, let’s take a look. “Neise’s Nose” traded Aaron Hill to “Texas I’m Stuck In” for Shin-Soo Choo. So far over the last 15 days Hill has netted 47 points and Choo has gained 45.5. Looks like a wash to me.

The other trade was “Reconsider Baby” trading Mike Trout to “Dickey’s Disciples” for Bryce Harper and Josh Reddick. Over the last 15 days Trout has netted 66 Points while Bryce Harper has netted 35 and Reddick 37.5. The Disciples have made out well so far but Trout has been out of the lineup for the last couple days due to a left knee contusion.

You are! At the start both you and Real seemed like you’d be sticking at the bottom and now if the season ended you both would be in the playoffs. Awesome job.

I’ve started treated my rotation like crap and dump them at a moments notice for the hot hand. seems to be working.

oh, and Ike and Pujols started hitting.

nothing to do with fantasy, but saw this over at FWICG.com, and just had to laugh. Especially because it was up on the main morning thread for at least 3 hours, with dozens of commenters making fun of it but nothing changed.

Just hard to understand a huge, professional, official team spot run like a 12 YOs hobby project.

“The Mets dropped two of the three to the D-Backs this past weekend in Arizona, losing Friday and Saturday night, but winning yesterday.”

Actually, after posting this, I realized they are technically correct. Thursday was not part of the weekend, so maybe I should not have been mean, though there are plenty of other examples to fall back on!

I can’t believe I scored as many points as I did and lost. Crazy game, this baseball thing.

Yeah I think you scored the most points of anyone other than me. Funny thing is look at my points against. I think that is why I was so bad early. The opposite of the Mets two out parade.
