Notes:
- Matt Harvey struggled, serving up a ton of extra-base hits. He’s struggled in the past when moving up from level to level, although I am a bit surprised that the Padres would be the team he struggles against.
- Ramon Ramirez out of the ‘pen wasn’t great, either. He allowed two runs on three hits in 1.2 innings. Gary Cohen pointed out on the telecast how Ramirez doesn’t get quick outs. I have to agree with him, and today was just another example.
- Ruben Tejada had another two-hit game. He has just been on fire lately. I think he’s a solid option as a leadoff man if he can keep his on-base percentage up. Anyone else agree? He doesn’t have the speed, but he can sure get on base.
- Ike Davis hit another extra-base hit, his 18th double of the season. However, he is still hitting just .212 on the season.
- The Mets have an off-day tomorrow, and begin a three-game series at home with the Marlins. Let’s go Mets!

6-5 road trip. It feels like it was worse though.
Can’t believe the only game we won in this Padres series was the Hefner start. I hate playing at San Diego. It’s getting worse than trying to win in Atlanta.

typo in there. That was Ike’s 18th double, not HR.
Man, harvey sucked today. What a bust. I can’t believe that do-nothing FO didn’t trade him while he still had some value.

My “Late Season Mets Apathy” must be creeping up to the forefront now, cause I completely spaced on today’s game. Good thing, too, cause dropping 2 of 3 to the Padres is kinda sad.

No worries on Harvey, he had tough transitions moving to AA and AAA. The guy got a good head on his shoulders and he will be fine.
Well good thing I drink. Had some Six Point Bengali Tiger and now into Stone Ruination IPA. I’ll be paying for it tomorrow…

The only concern I have about Harvey is Warthen screwing this kid up. I will refuse to give Sandy a high grade as long as he keeps Warthen as the pitching coach.
I’m sure Warthen drinks Natural Ice.
