Coming into today according to MLB Mets outfielder Scott Hairston is tied for 22nd among NL outfielders in RBI’s along with fellow teammate Lucas Duda and the Braves Martin Prado. But unlike Duda and Prado, Hairston’s rbi production per at bat of 1 RBI every 5.55 At Bats is 8th best among those top 25 RBI leaders.

Needless to say the Mets have gotten some good production out of Hairston considering he has been mostly a 4th outfielder.

In last nights 1st game Duda played 1st base. If he continues to play 1st base there is no room for him on the big club.
BTW the Syracuse announcers were gushing over Wheeler and comparing him to Strasburg.

He’s looking terrible in AAA.
But the filet mignon sandwich will be all the incentive he needs to get back to Queens…

I think we all need to get over Hairston. He’ll be on another team next year. You all know it, so stop being coy. This OF is going to look Agbayani-esque, though we’ll be wishing we had a Benny or two come June of next year.
2014, here we come.
