Cyclone Prospects Represent Mets Well In 2012 New York-Penn League All-Star Game

Last night was the 2012 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. The NL All Stars won 8-1 behind solid pitching by 10 NL All Stars. 4 of which were Brooklyn Cyclones Luis Mateo, Hansel Robles, Gabriel Ynoa and John Mincone who wound up getting the win.

The young Cyclone hurlers made an impression on NL manager Angel Espada causing him to sayThey’re all great Mets arms, and they’re all arms that really impressed me today, …You can tell the future of that system is very bright. As the years go by, hopefully they have great careers and I can say someday that I managed them in the 2012 All-Star Game.

The 4 prospects pitched a combined 3.2/IP, 2/H, 0/R, 0/ER, 0/BB, 6/SO.
