Well, lets see… Parnell and Duda tried their best to lose the game but thank goodness Ike wanted to win. Thank you Ike for not letting this get away. Murphy was pulled from the game yesterday in the ninth.
During a Q and A with season ticket holders Sandy Alderson was quoted as saying “I fully expect that David Wright and R.A. Dickey will be here not only next year, but long term”. Have we heard this before? Did Sandy buy stock recently in “Russel Stovers”? I imagine it would be the prevailing story line of the Winter.
What else you got RDM?

Extend them or trade them, I don’t care, just do it quickly so we can avoid the whole limbo thing. I would rather spend time reading/discussing about the other moves to be made as a result of what they did, then endless regurgitation of will they or won’t they.
besides, this team needs a lot of reworking, regardless of if those 2 guys are extended or traded. But until that is resolved, the team really can’t move forward, since they won’t know where to move. Unless they decide internally to exercise options, and keep them both to the deadline? Does not sound like the plan.
anyway, if they go bold and trade them both, they really better open the floodgates and make a bunch more moves to try and get a team in place to build around. Dumping those 2 for a few AA guys, and going back into hibernation, is not going to cut it!

oh, and Duda made a damned fine charge and throw to nail that guy in the 9th!
But, Bay should have been in for a defensive replacement (or baxter) in the inning. Yeah, Lucas needs his time to get settled in, but I bet he would understand.

Bay definitely should have been out in LF in the 9th. He makes that catch on the run.
This offense has been so anemic I can’t imagine how bad Sept might be.
Resigning Wright should be a no brainer, as well as Dickey. But don’t look for that to happen quickly since both have gone on record stating they want to see what direction this team is going in.

if it is going to happen this off season, it needs to happen early in it.
like I said, until that is resolved, how the hell can the FO really make all these other moves to determine the “direction”? since the moves can be wildly different depending on if they sign.
maybe they get caught in a stalemate, and nothing happens? That should be fun?
Now, maybe they do surprise the hell out of everyone, and swoop in early to sign say BJ Upton before dealing with Wright. I suppose that qualifies as a direction, and something that would still be OK even if DW decided to move on.
