WHILE I AM GLAD THE CYCLONES MADE THE PLAYOFFS , THE 2012 SQUAD LEAVES ME WONDERING IF THE HAVE ANY CHANCE AT ALL SURVIVING THE FIRST ROUND.. AT LEAST THEY HAVE THEIR BEST ASSET, HANSEL ROBLES, STARTING PITCHER, FOR THEIR FIRST GAME. (MAKES ME WANT TO ATTEND THAT ONE) .
COMPARED TO THE 2010 AND 2011 SQUADS, THIS TEAM JUST DOES NOT HAVE “THE BOUNCE-BACK” PREVIOUS TEAMS HAD.
LOOKING AT THE THE LAST TWO GAMES I NEVER SAW ANY HOPE THAT THEY HAD THE TALENT OR SPIRIT TO OVERCOME THE DEFICITS.
PREVIOUS TEAMS, LIKE 2011 AND IN PARTICULAR, 2010, NO LEAD EVER SEEMED INSURMOUNTABLE AND IT WAS NOT COMPLETELY UNEALISTIC TO HOPE THAT EVEN WITH TWO OUTS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NINTH; IT WASN’T OVER. NOT SO WITH THIS SQUAD.
I HOPE THIS TEAM PROVES ME WRONG.
