LOL, that ‘thrower’ was a lightweight. He didn’t get that stuff too far up nor too fast – especially that watermelon.
I’m willing to bet most of you all could hit that watermelon from that distance.
That pizza and box though was pretty cool. Ball went right through it.
Completely off topic, but what about Bay for Wells? Angels chip in 19 million or so (9.5 a year). That basically flops Bay for Wells, saves you about 9 million in cap flexibility for this year and you end up basically paying 4 million in total for Wells. Maybe they don’t chip in quite that amount, but while Wells isn’t great at all, he’s better than Bay and that would fill an OF spot on the short term for relatively cheap and open up payroll flexibility this year. Just a thought. Maybe you’d need to throw in a prospect of some sort as well?
I can live with just cutting him and not bringing back another dud to replace him, even if it ties up a litle more money this year (but frees up salary in 2014, and does not clog up the roster spot).
I hear you. Either way I don’t want Bay on this team. If he could be turned into an average contributing OF and provide $$$ flexibility this year, I’d say all the better!

well, that was certainly interesting.
Warthen would have had him nibble off the pizza box though.

Wait, saves you only like 5 or 6 this year. Either way, any little bit helps.
