Lucas Duda fractured his right wrist while moving furniture and had surgery in NYC yesterday to repair the fracture. Beat writers are reporting he should be cleared for Spring Training.
One has to wonder what this does to his trade value, as he could have been one of the Mets’ top names on the block during the Winter Meetings.
(Side note: I have moved many times, and never once come close to seriously injuring myself. This is absurd)
You all wanted news, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?

Of all the things he can hit… it’s his wrist on a couch.
And The Duda had minimal trade value at best. This just insures that he isn’t a toss in on another deal.

what a dumbass. but better now than in February.
A wrist? people hurt their back moving stuff, but a broken wrist?
and if they were thinking about trading him, or Ike for that matter, it is out now.
He actually had a wrist injury back before college, which limited him for a while (the reason he became a 250# slap hitter in the first place).
anyway, hopefully it was a clean break that will heal with no limitations on him.
and he can still spend hours a day running around in RF chasing balls. Just use 1 hand.

I 1st caught the news over at MMO and I thought, c’mon really?
I mean moving furniture? You think J-Bay was at the other end of whatever Duda was moving and he just happened to let his end go? Who knows maybe there is a Mike Puma story in there somewhere.
Jokes aside, just hope he heals well and is ready to compete for a job come the Spring.

How in the holy hell do you break your wrist moving furniture? Wow, what a Mets thing to do. At least it wasn’t one of their good players.
And this only takes his trade value this winter from ‘low’ to ‘laughable’. Given his performance this past season, he would’ve had very limited trade value, if any at all.
Maybe this will propel him to that monster 40HR season people seem convinced will happen. Womp womp. Duda sucks at baseball, now he sucks at moving furniture. What a joke.

I do think Duda could have a 35 HR season…as a DH.
I think he gets too down about his poor fielding and it affects him at the plate

Boy this is opening a can of worms or a bag of cheetos, LOL. How the heck are they gonna regulate this and if it’s still illegal to grow and distribute it where is it supposed to come from?

State stores—just like alcohol.
But the Feds will fight it tooth and nail.

FOUR MORE YEARS!!!
I know it isn’t technically over yet, but I feel confident.
I’m so excited to see four more years of the best candidate out there!!!!!!
Well, I’m talking about candidate for Cy Young of course. Just really stoked for Dickey to sign that 3-year extension and be around through 2016.

4 more years of the same… Great… If that is the case, then they should trade Wright and Dickey.
