During this past season 49 players made an appearance in a Mets uniform of which 23 of those players are currently no longer with the Mets. From those remaining 26 players still with the Mets 4 (Byrdak, Santana, Francisco and Wright) are at least 30 years of age or older.
Below is a breakdown of the current status of said players as of 12/24/2012.

interesting. I wonder how that amount of turnover (close to 50%) compares to other years or normal teams?
and at least the names that stick out as sucking the most are mostly the ones no longer here. I suppose that is progress/improvement if they manage to replace the trash with at least average players (or better quality trash?)
Leaning heavily on the “addition by subtraction” concept here as hope for improvement!

SS Omar Q…I thought I saw early on that the Orioles picked him up again for this season.
I thought he was a pretty good defensive back up SS – can’t remember about his offense but I think he held his own.
I don’t know if he plays anything other than SS. If he does play 2nd as well, I wouldn’t mind him as the MI back up.
