International: Mets Sign RHP – Gregory Estevez Dominican Prospect League

The Dominican Prospect League (DPL) recently finished holding it’s Louisville Slugger Tournament Series for it’s top players. It was a 4 day event held at the New York Yankees Boca Chica complex. DPL reports that of the more than 10 players to sign with a team was right handed pitcher Gregory Estevez with the Mets.

Good thing. I was worried that they were going to run out of RHP. can never have too many I guess (though you can apparently have too many OFs).

      LOL…

We’ll stock pile those arms and have the monopoly, thereby becoming the sales outlet for teams looking for a pitching arm.

which is exactly what I have been saying to the nervous nellies all worried that the FA class next year is not full of exciting OFs.

More likely that they will finally start spending the chips they have been hoarding to bring in some real talent (Stanton may be off the table, but guys like Upton will always be on it.)

so, sign 1 guy (Carlos Gomez maybe?) and trade some of the surplus arms for another “real” OF, and suddenly the OF can be a strength, and soon.

    LoL.

They also back on the 15th signed a 23 year old LHP named Dario Alvarez that has not pitched for the last 3 seasons.
