For those old enough you may remember a 1978 Discovery channel TV Series called “Connections”. the show was hosted by James Burke and it demonstrated how various discoveries, scientific achievements, and historical world events were built from one another successively in an interconnected way to bring about particular aspects of modern technology.
What does this has to do with anything? Well Mets360 did a great job in doing the baseball equivalent of “Connections” by connecting Tim Bogar to Travis d’Arnaud. It really is a nice read and I can only imagine the work it took to research it. Click here and give it a read.
For those that have no idea what Connections was here is the original episode.

LoL yes the 6 degrees of separation also applies.
As far as the series goes I used to enjoy watching it though it is a bit eery to see the pilot and seeing the World Trade Center and reference to an inbound flight that goes by flight #911.

Don’t remember the program Connections but the first thing that immediately came to mind was the 6 degrees to Kevin Bacon that was popular awhile back.

When I was a kid my folks had some friends who owned a cabin on a lake in the Adirondacks and they would invite my family up for a couple weeks in the summer. They had a clubhouse at the head of the lake where all the kids hung out and one of those kids was Kevin Bacon.
You are now 2 degrees from Kevin Bacon

If I were to judge Joe Vasile from that article the term I would employ would be “idiot savant.”
BTW doing a little research I found that during the Late Cretaceous period a primate of some form was impacted by an insect of some form and had that not occurred there would be no Mets baseball as we know it today.
