Johan Santana has re-torn his anterior capsule. The Mets are seeking a second opinion, but the likely outcome is season-ending surgery, which would in all likelihood conclude Santana's career with the Mets.To Sandy Alderson's knowledge Santana's contract is uninsured, meaning the Mets will pay the full $25.5 million owed to Santana this season as well as the $5.5 million buyout for 2014.
