In a interview conducted earlier today on the MLB Network Sirius XM Channel by hosts Rod Dibble and Jim Memolo,Pitcher Roy Oswalt announced that he would be open to being traded if it would help the Astros rebuild."When you get to a point where you need to start rebuilding they're going to start with a guy that's got a lot of value and I understand that if I'm throwing well that they maybe can get two or three guys that can fill holes that they need. I told them from the very beginning when they get to that point I would be open to being traded."Oswalt, 32 went on to say that explained that if he is to be dealt, he would want to go to a "true contender". There is speculation that the teams the he would love to be traded to includes the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, and the Saint Louis Cardinals. Oswalt's deal, which expires after next season guarantees him for a combined $31MM over the next two seasons, and he has a full no-trade clause.I would love to see him wearing the Mets Blue and Orange, I just don't know if the Mets are willing to put together a package of top flight rookies to get him, that and if Oswalt if dealt to the Mets would he be willing to come here? " Could the Wizard of Oz be Flushing Bound?"
