ESPNDeportes Enrique Rojas is reporting that Yunieski Maya was granted permission by The Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") of the US Department of the Treasury  that ensures compliance with the provisions of the U.S. embargo against Cuba today to sign with any Major League team.Enrique Rojas goes on to say that sources told ESPNdeportes.com that Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Toronto, the Mets and Yankees have shown interest in negotiating with Maya once he was eligible to sign.Maya, 28, was the leading pitcher of the powerful national team of Cuba when he escaped from the island in September 2009.The Right handed Maya has a repertoire of four pitches - a fastball, curveball, changeup and slider.
