The only G-Met run was not related to a 2009 draftee, but is worth mentioning nonetheless because it was scored by Ryan Van Gurp who stole home on the front end of a double steal. The G-Mets collected only 2 hits, none by 2009 draftees. RF Kurt Steinhauer was 0 for 2 with 2 walks. - In Danville Viginia the Kingsport Mets fell to the Danville Braves 4-2. 4 members of the 2009 draft class saw action for the K-Mets. LF John Semel was 0 for 3 with 2 walks. Ryan Mollica played 2B and struck out 3 times, going 0 for 4, but was involved in 2 double plays on defense. 3B Joseph Bonfe had 1 hit in 4 times up out of the clean up spot, and his average fell to .361 on the season. - The Brooklyn Cyclones continued their winning ways, defeating the Tri-City Valley Cats 4-3 to move their record to 10-2 on the season. 2009 draftee James Ewing (12th round, pick 374) out of the University of Southern Mississippi made his professional debut. It wasn't one to write home about.
