Lucas Duda finally got going  today and he did it in a big way.  4-5 with 3 doubles, 4 RBI and 10 feet from a Mets grand-slam Duda d showed the offense today that makes up for his sub-par defense.  Coming into today's game Duda was 7/32 since his recall with only 2 extra base hits and 4 RBI flashing an OPS of .520 in 37 PA.  Today's output raised his average to .228 and his OPS to .608.The Mets started off their Texas sized offensive explosion in the 1st inning.  After 2 singles from Reyes and Harris a struggling Beltran came to bat and belted a triple to RF that got by Cruz and plated 2.  Murphy got Beltran home with a sac-fly and Niese was given a 3-0 lead. After an error by normally sure handed Beltre in the 3rd allowed Harris to reach, Duda later doubled scoring 2 and was later driven in by Thole making the lead 6-0.  In the 4th inning Niese, who pitched very well over 5 2/3 but may have not been feeling well in the Texas heat (official report pulled for precautionary reasons due to a rapid heart beat), gave up back to back HR to Beltre and Youngmaking the score 6-2.The 6th inning was a monster as the first 8 Mets batters reached base and before the first out the Mets had scored 7 runs.  Run down:  Reyes single, Harris single, double steal, Beltran single, Murphy single, Pagan walk, Duda double, Thole double (both were a few feet away from clearing the wall), Tejada sac-fly.Due to some runs against Parnell and Carrasco the final would be 14-5 in what was no doubt the Mets biggest offensive output of the season, 17 hits 14 runs yet 0 HR.Tomorrow the Mets take on Texas again in the heat (3:05 start) with 7-1 Dillon Gee taking on 6-2 Derrek Holland. For more take a look at Gameday.
