It's a light day in tiny Mets news so I'm digging deep in the scrap heap:
- It's not bad enough simply being a fan of a team that shares a city with the Yankees, now I learn that the Yankees had 3 of the top 4 arms belonging to minor league right fielders in their system in 2009. But take heart Mets fans, one of them is 34, the other is 27 and hasn't made it past Double A yet, and the third can't hit a lick.
- In fantasy baseball terms, Eno Sarris of FanGraphs considers Johan Santana to be this year's Chris Carpenter, whatever that means. Last year I drafted Chris Carpenter so I should know what that means. Call me crazy but I don't think Santana will still be there in the 19th round this year, no offense Mr. Sarris.
