Well we all knew this was coming. The New York Mets announced earlier today that they have recalled right-handed reliever, Manny Acosta from Buffalo .To make room for him on the 25 man roster, The Mets designated right-handed reliever, Fernando Nieve assignment after last night's game deflating loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Acosta will wear uniform #36 and will be available to pitch in tonight's game.This is Acosta's second stint with the Mets this season. He went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 12 games with the Mets before being demoted.This year. In 12.0 innings, he allowed eight hits, four runs, earned,with eight walks and 14 strikeouts.Nieve went 2-4 with a 6.00 ERA in 40 games for the Mets this year. In 42.0 innings, he allowed 37 hits, 28 runs, earned, with 22 walks and 38 strikeouts (not good).Well if this is the big change that Jerry was eluding to - I'm not impressed !!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            " So we basically demoted one scrub for another?!?
