The B-Mets finally got back on the field after a series of rainouts, giving us a full slate of games on the farm.
Las Vegas 6, Reno 0
Dana Eveland got the spot start and struck out 6 in 5 scoreless innings of work. Joel Carreno and Erik Goeddel each threw a shutout innings. Allan Dykstra was 2 for 4 with a 2-run homer. Wilmer Flores was 2 for 5 with a double, triple, and 3 RBI’s. Eric Campbell had 3 hits. Danny Muno, Matt den Dekker, and Juan Centeno had 2 hits each.
Binghamton 4, New Hampshire 1
Matthew Bowman had a dominating outing, throwing 7 shutout innings and striking out 11 while allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk. Darrell Ceciliani and Matt Reynolds had 3 hits each. Meanwhile, both Jayce Boyd and Cory Vaughn went 0 for 4; Boyd is now hitting .150 and Vaughn .083.
St. Lucie 6, Fort Myers 1
Steven Matz carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning before a bunt single broke it up. Matz struck out 6 and allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. T.J. Rivera and Maikis De La Cruz had 2 hits each. Cam Maron drove in 2 runs. Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 4 with a walk and run scored; he’s hitting .370.
Greenville 4, Savannah 0
Robert Gsellman allowed 1 run on 3 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings, striking out 5, but he took the tough-luck loss. Akeel Morris walked 3 and struck out 2 in 2 shutout innings. The Gnats had just 4 total hits. Starting for Greenville was Teddy Stankiewicz, who the Mets drafted in the 2nd round in 2012 but did not sign, he threw 6 shutout innings.
