Happy Easter everybody!  Here’s a recap of last night on the farm.

 

El Paso 8, Las Vegas 5

 

Noah Syndergaard let up 6 runs (4 earned) in 4 innings, walking 3 and striking out 3.  Erik Goeddel followed with 2 scoreless innings and Joel Carreno threw a scoreless frame.  Wilmer Flores was 2 for 5.  Taylor Teagarden hit a solo homer.

 

Binghamton 3, New Hampshire 2

 

Rainy Lara allowed 1 unearned run over 6 innings, allowing 3 walks and 2 hits but struck out just 1.  Chasen Bradford notched his 3rd save of the season.  Matt Reynolds was 4 for 4 with an RBI; he’s now hitting .383.  Dustin Lawley was 2 for 4 with a double.

 

Fort Myers 4, St. Lucie 0

 

Domingo Tapia struggled a bit, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks over 4 innings without striking out anyone.  Brandon Allen doubled, but the Lucies managed just 4 hits.

 

Savannah 3, Greenville 3 (suspended in 6th)

 

John Gant started and pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, walking 2 and striking out 2.  Tim Peterson pitched a scoreless 6th inning before the game was suspended in the bottom of the 6th.  Jeff McNeil and Jeff Glenn both had 2 hits, including a double.  The game will resumed May 14.

 

On a programming note, only the 51s are in action today, so we’ll be skipping Last Night on the Farm tomorrow.  See ya Tuesday.
