Last night on the farm there was a rain out, a steal of home, the return of Erik Goeddel, and the Lucies 8th straight win.  Let’s get to it: Buffalo at Syracuse PPD This one never had a chance to get played; the two teams will try to play a doubleheader today. Binghamton 6, Portland 1 Mark Cohoon had a nice outing, giving up just 1 run on 7 hits over 7 innings of work.  Kevin Mulvey and Elvin Ramirez each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.  Jefry Marte, Josh Rodriguez, and Juan Centeno all had 2 hits.  Rodriguez later stole home.  Matt Den Dekker started in right field, went 0-5, and struck out twice. St. Lucie 9, Palm Beach 7 The Lucies were down 2-0 when this game started, picking up after the one inning played the previous night.  Erik Goeddel took over on the mound when play resumed making his season debut.  Goeddel gave up 1 run on 3 hits, walking 2 and striking out 1 in 3 innings of work.  Daniel Muno was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Cesar Puello, Wilmer Flores, Richard Lucas, and Wilfredo Tovar all had 2 hits apiece.  Flores homered and drove in 2, his first homer of the year.  Lucas doubled twice; Puello doubled and tripled; Tovar drove in 2 runs. St. Lucie 6, Palm Beach 1  7 innings Angel Cuan let up 1 run over 5 innings and Adrian Rosario pitched 2 shutout frames in relief.  Rosario, acquired in the K-Rod trade last summer has a 0.96 ERA and 12 strikeouts while allowing just 6 base runners in 9.1 innings this year.  Wilfredo Tovar was 3 for 3.  Daniel Muno and Wilmer Flores had 2 hits each.  This was the Lucies 8th straight win, pushing their record to 13-2.  They already have a 6-game cushion in the FSL South division. Hickory 6, Savannah 1 Tyler Pill struggled for the first time this year, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits in 3.1 innings, although he did strike out 5.  Jack Leathersich gave up a run, but struck out 4 in 2 innings of work.  T.J. Rivera and Cam Maron each had 2 hits, but the rest of the Gnats offense was stagnant.  Tillman Pugh homered, but he also struck out twice and is hitting .074.
