On a Sunday afternoon on the farm, the A ball teams continued to play well, while the upper level clubs continued to struggle.  Here we go: Tacoma 5, Las Vegas 3This makes 5 losses in a row for the 51s.  Chris Schwinden started and gave up 2 runs in 5 innings while walking 5 and striking out 4.  Gonzalez Germen walked 3 and struck out 3 while giving up 2 runs in 2 innings.  Greg Burke also gave up a run in 2 innings of work.  Andrew Brown and Kai Gronauer each doubled.  Josh Satin drove in 2 runs.  Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Wilmer Flores each singled. Akron 7, Binghamton 5Jacob deGrom struggled again, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.  DeGrom gave up 2 homeruns, while Adam Kolarek and Shawn Teufel both allowed a home run as well.  Cesar Puello was 2 for 4 with 2 strikeouts and a stolen base.  Danny Muno was 2 for 3 with a double and a triple.  Josh Rodriguez and Cory Vaughn each had a 2-run homer; Vaughn also drew 2 walks.  Darrell Ceciliani and Allan Dykstra each hit a double. St. Lucie 9, Tampa 2Noah Syndergaard had a great outing against the Yankees affiliate.  He gave up an unearned run on 5 hits and a walk over 7 innings with 7 strikeouts.  Hamilton Bennett struck out 3 in 2 innings of work.  Robbie Shields was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored.  Dustin Lawley was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs.  Travis Taijeron doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Aderlin Rodriguez and Joe Bonfe both doubled as well. Savannah 3, West Virginia 2Matt Koch started and gave up 2 runs (1 earned) over 3.2 innings with just 1 strikeout.  Jake Kuebler piggybacked for 4 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 3.  Tyler Vanderheiden pitched a scoreless 9th and got the win.  Brandon Nimmo went hitless for the 4th game in a row.  Jayce Boyd was hitless for the 2nd straight day.  Kevin Plawecki was 1 for 4 with a double.  Cole Frenzel was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Stefan Sabol had 2 hits.  Phillip Evans was 0 for 2 with 2 walks and his 9th error of the season in the field.
