Last night on the farm, all four teams were in action, so let’s have a look:


Sacramento 7, Las Vegas 4


Noah Syndergaard started and ran into a little trouble, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits over 5 innings, walking and striking out just 2.  Joel Carreno threw 2 perfect innings in relief.  Eric Campbell hit a 2-run homer.  Bobby Abreu was 2 for 4 with an RBI.  Cesar Puello had 2 hits.  Wilmer Flores started at shortstop and committed a fielding error.


Binghamton 7, Erie 2


Matt Bowman had a nice double-A debut, allowing 1 run on 3 hits over 5 innings, walking 1 and striking out 4.  John Church threw 2 scoreless innings and Jack Leathersich walked 1 and struck out 2 in a scoreless 9th inning.  Kevin Plawecki, Darrell Ceciliani, and Wilfredo Tovar had 2 hits each.  Tovar had 3 RBI’s.  Jayce Boyd and Travis Taijeron both doubled and drove in a run. 


St. Lucie 5, Jupiter 2


Matt Koch went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, but only struck out 1.  Randy Fontanez threw 2 shutout innings and Beck Wheeler notched his 2nd save of the season.  Dilson Herrera (who led off and played shortstop) and Jairo Perez had 2 hits each.  Cam Maron and Maikis De La Cruz each doubled.  Brandon Nimmo, who was the DH, was 1 for 3 with a strikeout, 2 walks, and 2 runs scored.


Augusta 8, Savannah 3


Rick Knapp only lasted 2.1 innings, giving up 6 runs (3 earned).  Pitching in relief, Akeel Morris threw 3 hitless innings, walking 1 and striking out 9.  Jared King and Dominic Smith had 3 hits each.  L.J. Mazzilli was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  avin Cecchini was 1 for 4 with 1 RBI.
