Here’s Saturday night on the farm:


Las Vegas 6, El Paso 4


Dava Eveland struck out 10 in 6 innings, while the bullpen threw 3 shutout innings to secure the win.  Cesar Puello, Xorge Carrillo, and Brandon Allen had 2 hits each.  Allen homered while Carrillo and Zach Lutz doubled.


Binghamton 6, New Hampshire 5


Rainy Lara was good for 6 innings, but had trouble getting out of the 7th.  He ended up allowing 5 runs on 8 hits over 6.1 innings, being victimized by 2 homers, but he did strike out 7 without walking any.  Cody Satterwhite struck out 2 and picked up his first save of the season.  Kevin Plawecki was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Travis Taijeron had 2 doubles.


St. Lucie 6, Lakeland 3


Matt Koch improved to 5-0 on the season, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits over 7.1 innings; oddly he walked none and struck out none.  Dilson Herrera was 3 for 5 with a double.  Cam Maron had 3 hits.  Brandon Nimmo was 0 for 2 with 2 walks.


Charleston 3, Savannah 1


Robert Gsellman returned from the DL, but only went 3 innings, allowing 2 unearned runs and striking out 3.  Tyler Vanderheiden threw 2 shutout innings out of the bullpen.  L.J. Mazzilli had 3 hits.  Champ Stuart, Jeff McNeil, and Victor Cruzado had 2 hits each.  Gavin Cecchini was 1 for 5; Dominic Smith was 1 for 3 with a walk.
