The Mets were pitiful last night, and the farm teams weren’t much better.  Let’s begrudgingly take a look and search for some kind of silver lining: Iowa 2, Las Vegas 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)Rafael Montero made his AAA debut and began the game with 6 scoreless innings, allowing just 3 hits, but in the bottom of the 7th he allowed a homerun, then got 2 outs before walking a batter that Josh Edgin allowed to score for the game-winning run.  Montero’s final line was 6.2 innings, 2 runs on 4 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.  Montero also had 1 of the 3 hits Vegas had on offense.  Zach Lutz also singled and catcher Francisco Pena homered, as he was recently promoted to AAA with Juan Centeno and Kai Gronauer going on the DL. Iowa 6, Las Vegas 5 (Game 2, 7 innings)D.J. Mitchell was disappointing again, allowing 5 runs in 4 innings.  Gonzalez Germen took the loss after giving up a run in the bottom of the 6th after the 51’s tied the game with 5 runs in the top of the 6th.  Zach Lutz was 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 RBI’s.  Brian Bixler also drove in 2 runs.  Omar Quintanilla doubled. New Britain 9, Binghamton 3Jacob deGrom continues to sputter in AA, giving up 7 runs on 9 hits in 4.2 innings, walking 4 and striking out 3.  Shawn Teufel gave up 2 more in 1.1 innings.  Chase Huchingson and Jack Leathersich each threw a shut out innings.  Cesar Puello was 1 for 5 with a 2-run homer and 3 strikeouts.  Danny Muno, Allan Dykstra, and Blake Forsythe all had doubles. St. Lucie 5, Dunedin 3Alex Panteliodis picked up the win after giving up 2 runs (1 earned) in 5.2 innings.  Hamilton Bennett and T.J. Chism each threw a scoreless inning in relief.  T.J. Rivera and Travis Taijeron were both 2 for 4 with a double.  Matt Reynolds also doubled, as the Lucies managed 5 runs on just 6 hits. Charleston 2, Savannah 0Steven Matz took the loss despite a solid outing, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts.  The Gnats mustered just 4 singles.  Jeff Reynolds had 2 hits; Phillip Evans and Yucary De La Cruz had the other 2 hits.  Kevin Plawecki walked twice.
