Last night on the farm, Savannah had the day off, the B-Mets dropped a double-header, and St. Lucie saved the organization from a winless day.  Let’s see what happened:


Fresno 5, Las Vegas 4


Noah Syndergaard was victimized by allowing a pair of homeruns, as he gave up 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, walking 2 and striking out 6.  He left with a chance to win, but Miguel Socolovich gave up 2 runs to get the blown save and the loss.  Zach Lutz was 2 for 4 with a double.  Allan Dykstra also doubled.  Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Omar Quintanilla both homered.


Portland 5, Binghamton 1 (Game 1, 7 innings)


Luis Cessa made his AA debut, but only lasted 3.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits, walking 2 and striking out 3.  Matt Reynolds, Matt Clark, and Dustin Lawley had 2 hits each.  Lawley and Darrell Ceciliani both doubled.


Portland 6, Binghamton 5 (Game 2, 7 innings)


Matthew Bowman allowed 6 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks over 4.2 innings.  Matt Clark was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  Matt Reynolds had 2 hits.  Wilfredo Tovar and Darrell Ceciliano both doubled.


St. Lucie 5, Clearwater 2


Domingo Tapia continued his slide, allowing just 1 run on 1 hit over 4 innings, but walking 4 and striking out 5.  Ryan Fraser threw 2 shutout innings and Randy Fontanez threw a scoreless 9th to get his 6th save of the season.  Dilson Herrera was 3 for 4 with a double, homer, and 2 RBI’s.  Phillip Evans was 2 for 4.  Brandon Nimmo was 1 for 2 with an RBI and 2 walks.
